TRADITIONAL FINE ART

FINE ART
Portraits in graphite or charcoal is how I got started, which is why most of the drawings you see here are older and perhaps more amateurish than the cartoon portraits you see in other sections. I wouldn't even call it illustration, more of fine art, but I am called upon to do traditional portraits for people from time to time.
Several of these drawings come from bound journals and are simply photographed open spreads. I don't like color in traditional art much, but you will see occasionally I'll add color in digitally (as with the Michael Emerson drawing) or even more rarely go full-on colored pencil, as with the clown film still from Psychoville.
